The words “balling” and “Scottsdale” should not be used is the same paragraph. The whole town became faux rich when real estate was inflated and people paid into the hype in 2005 / 2006. There has never been any wealth in the town otherwise. There are no jobs or industry. It was great during its time, which has since passed. Anyone saying otherwise is either ignorant or stuck there and doesn’t know any better. The dining, shopping, arts & culture are quite literally a joke if you are used to city life. The real estate is really undervalued right now and a great buy for a 5-10 year hold. It will be that long until money attracts the more quality people back.

I was in Downtown Scottsdale a month ago and that place is not any better than it was 2 years ago. As a matter of fact it has gotten worse. I can’t believe the poster used the pictures of these frogs to make a point. I am nowhere near jealous.

great comment nic and found your assessment dead on about scottsdale and its inhabitants. i was recently turned on to your site by another of our transplants in LA from Scottsdale. unfortunately those of us that grew up there and made it the very cool, low key, unassuming semi stylish suburb that it was typically move. its actually now embarrassing to go back as that shithole is inhabited by cornfed midwesterners (male and female), leased 328i bmws, with way too many tattoos that went on to become pharmacuetical sales reps and wanna be internet moguls/real estate moguls. and if you go to saddle ranch in scottsdale that will tell you all you need to know about what that place has become. to the citizens of scottsdale who thought a piece of hollywood was brought to them. thats larry pollacks way of legally stealing from all of you gullible dale boys/girls. we have lived for years a few yards up the hills from that place and nobody goes there, except the tourist from Scottsdale. please clean up that city nic, my rental properties are down 30% and you may be able to help..

Unfortunately the locals that made Scottsdale the cool, unassuming, low key, hidden gem move away once out of college and the place is left with midwestern cornfed men and women who still think neck tattoos and watered down ecstasy are the way to go. I worked at Smashboxx and the first night that I saw that guy show up he ran up his tab to around 14,000 then his card wasn’t working so he had to leave his $65,000 watch as collateral. Since you both seem to have done the rounds in terms of touring the nightlife scene in the U.S. etc I want your opinion. top 4 cities for beautiful, fit women regardless of surgery. Scottsdale, Miami, LA and New York is my vote. There are still hot women here hands down. men do pay with cash in Scottsdale but it was the minority in 2006 through the crash and more so since 2008 so nothing new.
