They checked the lake. Only found his shoe close by.. He got kicked out of cadillac ranch before he went missing.. He is 19 by the way. Wonder where the hell he is! Its all over the news. Hope he is found safe and sound!

It is sad that you can’t trust your friends to have your back when you need them. His so-called friends should have left with him when he got kicked out. Made sure he got into a cab. All they cared about was not ruining there party night. If one gets kicked out, we all leave together.

A lawsuit to what the club who let a underage in with a fake id? Sue the frats for allowing a underage to attend a club knowing he wasnt of age. There are laws set for a reason. Its sad he went missing. He was removed from the club for being out of line. Hence why underages shouldnt drink. Parents will cash in from the frats, another frat house will be kicked off campus. So sad for his parents but hopefully the cops will crack down on frats and underage drinking to prevent this from happening again,

I hope Caddy Ranch gets sued, though I like the place…bars love to push drinks on you then let you leave intoxicated. Let alone, the guy was kicked out for being intoxicated and no cab or supervision of him getting any type of ride was provided.

sorry you’re wrong, but your son’s fraternity had everything to do with it, I know plenty of kids in that fraternity as well as others at ASU…they are more then aware of what people in their frat are underage or not, yet they still invite them to come to the bar events and encourage them to get ID’s so they can drink, I just can’t find much fault with Cadillac Ranch, unless they intentionally over served them, but as some who works as a bartender I can tell you that it can be very hard to tell who is overintoxicated or not, especially when it is a frat type event where you are serving 50 kids at once who are just trying to get sloshed….let me guess, your son tried to tell you it wasn’t the frats fault, and I bet he also told you when he wanted to join about how the main priority of the frat is to raise money for charity and make connections for later in life…..parents are soo dumb
So somehow the fraternity bears no responsibility for allowing a known 19-year-old member to engage in illegal drinking? Bullshit. If the bar followed protocol and checked for ID, what more could they have done?
Frats are all about brotherhood and they let one of their brother’s get kicked out and go on his own. It is the frat’s fault. I’m a member of a sorority at ASU and even though we participated in the same underage shenanigans, my sisters would leave with me if I were kicked out of a bar. I hope this frat gets kicked off campus.
My heart goes out to the family but it’s not caddy’s fault entirely. No bartenders don’t over serve you on purpose because 1.we don’t feel like dealing with drunk ppl. Yes they should have called him a cab but sometimes when your working your dealing with plenty of drunks. Where were his friends….supposed brothers??

would someone familiar with the area please give a little more detail on why nik thinks they should “check the lake”… It sounds like this particular lake has resulted in more than one tragedy but for someone not from AZ it seems odd that this guy could just fall in a lake after a night of drinking, let alone multiple people. where I live we have a strip of bars that is full of drunk young people every weekend and it also happens to be steps from the beach. no one ever seems to end up deceased in the ocean tho….
@ The duuuuude Tempe Town Lake is close to the strip of bars that ASU student hangout. People leave the club and have to cross or walk along side the lake to get home. A student was mysteriously found dead there a week or so after going missing.
That lake seperates Tempe and Scottsdale (two cities that surround Phoenix). Its rather large and gross but many students live in the South Scottsdale area so when they leave from Tempe after a night of drinking (two night life areas are on the border of the lake) some people walk home. Some people fall in and drown.

Stop blaming the bar. Blame the fraternity lifestyle and the douch attitude that goes with it. Nobody forced him to drink. Nobody forced him to act like a douche and get bounced. He made the choices and it likely landed him dead. The only person to blame is him.
A 19 year old boy doesn’t have the right sense to drink and handle it and that is y they arnt suppose to serve them. It’s ducking illegal for then to do so and they still did so they should b shut the fuck down. I am the manager of a night club and I would never serve a minor his blood is on there hands. I hope my cousin didnt die in vain and that hopefully this will change things. The bar needs to take there responablity in this part. He can’t cause he’s gone and nothing can bring him back.

Wow, that’s pretty damn low blaming the fraternity. Yes, college is known for people getting drunk and partying, but fraternities also put value in volunteering and keeping good grades, as both are required for membership. I am in college and not a part of greek life, but there’s no reason to blame it. I have been to the socials like the one they had, and there is a system in place.. the buses take everyone home but that would be too expensive for just the people kicked out so they get them to a taxi. This happens all the time and more people were kicked out that night. What’s douchey is for you to put blame on a fraternity when you don’t know the full situation and how much the fraternity and all of greek life at ASU is doing now for the kid, including raising a lot of money for the family and helping to look for him. It is obvious that they care and I am sure in the future all of ASU will be more careful when a friend gets kicked out of a bar..

He was found today in the lake, it is a very sad story and there is no one to blame. It a tragic thing that should not have happened. This is the 3rd time is the past year someone has gone missing and found in tempe town lake, there should be more precaution on the bridges going over like mclintock rural and mill, and also on the edges where people can easily fall in. with how cold the water is and how intoxicated jack was his chances of surviving after falling in were probably not very good. Much love to his family and friends, jack will be missed.

This isn’t funny he said this because it has happened 3 times in the last year that some student has been found. The lake is not protected from people and he fell in and could not get out. These 3 families has lost a child that hadn’t even lived their lives and your making a joke about it. He said that because he knows where people that are missing from ASU end up. I think this whole thing happened due to hazing. My bf was in a fraternity and they used to make him do stupid shit like GO SWIM IN THE LAKE.
I am sorry for your loss but I am sure you have served hundreds of minors alcohol as a manager of a night club I don’t care how lock tight you think your system is…
He was kicked out of the bar for peeing off a balcony, and his wallet and credit card were both left at CR, he only had charged $8 on his card from what I’ve read so he had to have gotten drunk before he got there with his frat cuz I’m sure he didn’t get drunk off 8 bucks, yes I know he could have used cash then ran out and used his card but I doubt it. It sounded like it took some time for police to find out what had happened at the bar and what time he left because most news reports said he left from 9-11 you would think someone would step up and say something and that this “taxi” would have records of picking him up from the bar cuz taxis have driving logs… There is something sketchy going on and it all goes back to his fake “brothers”… Could easily have been a haze gone wrong for getting kicked out of the bar why else would his stuff be at the bar
